Diagnostic description:
The material examined is characterized by sessile globose apothecioid ascomata with depression in the central part, (120–)180–220(–250) μm diam. (n=10), 8-spored clavate asci and 1-septate, ellipsoid, hyaline to pale brown, constricted at the septum ascospore (21.0–)21.6–23.2(–24.0) × (7.8–)8.6–11.2(–12.4) μm (n=25), length/width ratio (1.7–)2.0–2.6(–2.9), with distinct gelatinous sheath up to 3 μm.
